Matilde Marcolli is an Italian-American mathematical physicist. She won the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz-Preis of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Sofia Kovalevskaya Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and has authored and edited numerous books.
