Diego De Leo (born 1951) is an Italian professor, physician, and psychiatrist. Until August 2015, he served as the director of the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP), a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Suicide Prevention at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. De Leo has been a member of the editorial board of Crisis: The Journal of Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention since 1990. He served as Editor-in-Chief from 2008 to early 2018 (co-editing with Annette Beautrais until 2010) and is now Editor Emeritus of the journal.
