The Ruling Class is a 1968 British play by Peter Barnes. The black comedy centres on Jack Arnold Alexander Tancred Gurney, the 14th Earl of Gurney and the attempts to cure him of insanity. Peter O'Toole acquired the film rights and starred in the 1972 film adaptation. Source: Wikipedia (en)
