Sven Giegold (born 17 November 1969) is a German politician of the Alliance 90/The Greens who has been serving as State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in the coalition government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz since 2021. He was a member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2021. Giegold is a founding member of Attac Germany.
