The Prix du Brigadier, established in 1960 by the Association de la Régie théâtrale (ART), is an award given to a personality from the world of theater. The dramatist Jean Anouilh, having rejected all official honors, declared that in his opinion, the only worthwhile reward was the Prix du Brigadier which had been granted to him in 1971. Three other authors have also received this award: Françoise Sagan in 1960; Eugène Ionesco in 1966; and Florian Zeller in 2014. Source: Wikipedia (en)
